Scope and current features
This policy applies to WaterCleanupProsNearMe.com (the directory, we or our). The site provides business listings and educational resources. It does not currently offer visitor accounts, quote-request submissions, online bookings, payments, newsletter registration or document uploads. Information you give to a listed business is handled by that business under its own policies.
Website requests and searches
When you visit, your browser sends information needed to deliver a webpage, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser or device details and the time of the request. Our hosting provider, Vercel, processes requests and may keep operational and security logs. These records help deliver the site, diagnose errors and protect it from abuse.
Directory and FAQ searches, filters and submitted comparison choices appear in the page URL and are sent to the website. They may therefore appear in browser history and hosting logs. Search only for company names, cities, services or general questions. Do not enter your name, street address, contact details or other private information into search fields.
The site does not request your precise device location. Choosing a state or typing a city is not permission to collect GPS location.
Cookies and browser storage
The company comparison feature stores the names and identifiers of up to three selected businesses in your browser tab using session storage. This keeps selections while you move between pages. Use the comparison Clear control or clear this site's browser data to remove them. Session storage normally ends when the tab is closed, although a browser may restore it with a session. Submitting a comparison sends the selected company identifiers in the page URL.
We also store your analytics choice and the date of that choice in this browser's local storage. A saved choice is honored for up to 180 days, after which we ask again. You can clear the site's browser data to remove the saved choice sooner. If local storage is unavailable, your choice applies only to the current page. Browser storage controls may also affect comparison persistence.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics helps us understand visits and improve the directory. It is optional. We load the Google measurement tag only after you choose Allow analytics or when this browser has a valid saved Allow choice. Before that choice, the site does not send Google analytics requests, including requests made in a denied-consent mode. Choosing Reject analytics does not prevent browsing, searching or comparing companies.
When allowed, the site uses Google Analytics to measure visits and interactions. Google may receive your IP address, browser and device information, cookie identifiers, pages visited, referral information and interactions. The configured tag includes enhanced measurement, which can detect searches and form events. Search information can therefore be included in measurement. Do not enter personal or sensitive information into directory searches.
The Google configuration also includes automatic detection of contact details on a page. Depending on the Google account settings and the consent accepted by the destination, detected email addresses, phone numbers or addresses may be hashed and sent to Google for eligible measurement. Hashing does not make information anonymous. The site keeps advertising storage, advertising-data use and ad personalization disabled in its Google tag settings, and does not enable Google Signals. Whether Google processes a detected contact field depends on the destination settings and applicable consent. This measurement should not be treated as anonymous or aggregate-only.
Google Analytics may use first-party cookies such as _ga and related Analytics cookies. Google cookie and data-retention settings govern how long Analytics cookies and records are kept. Withdrawing permission stops future collection as explained below but does not delete records Google already holds. Google's processing is described in Google's privacy policy and how Google uses information from sites and apps.
Change or withdraw your analytics choice
Open Privacy & analytics choices in the footer, then choose Reject analytics to withdraw permission. The site disables its Analytics destination, attempts to remove accessible first-party Analytics cookies and reloads the page when Analytics has already loaded. Subsequent page loads do not load the Google tag while a valid Reject choice remains saved. This does not delete information Google already received or cookies the website cannot access.
The site does not separately read Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals to set your analytics choice. Use the site's Allow or Reject controls. Advertising personalization remains off regardless of your analytics choice. Your browser or content blocker may also restrict Google requests or cookies.
Email correspondence
If you email the directory, your message includes your sender address and any information you choose to provide. That information is used to review and respond to your request, including privacy questions and listing corrections, and may be processed by email service providers. Keep your message limited to the information needed for the question. Do not send identity documents, customer records, payment details or insurance claim files.
Business listing information
Listings contain business information drawn from company websites, public business sources and permitted datasets. This can include a business name, business contact information, location, services and links to source material. Some small-business contact information may also identify an individual. Retention and security
Comparison selections follow the browser-session behavior described above. Business listing information remains in the directory while it is maintained as directory content. Hosting providers control the retention of their operational logs; this policy does not promise a fixed deletion period for those records.
The site is delivered over HTTPS, but no website, email service or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. Please do not send sensitive documents through ordinary email or enter them into search fields.
Your choices and privacy questions
You can browse without registering, clear browser storage, and choose whether to contact an independent business or follow an external link. Depending on your location and the law that applies, you may have rights concerning personal information, including access, correction or deletion. This notice does not remove rights available under applicable law or imply that every privacy law applies to this website.
Email info@watercleanupprosnearme.com for privacy questions, listing corrections, accessibility concerns or other directory questions. Include the relevant page URL and a brief description. Do not send passwords, payment details, identity documents, medical information or insurance claim files.
Children
The directory is intended for adults making property and contractor decisions, not for children under 13. It has no child-registration or child-submission features. Do not submit a child's personal information in searches or correspondence.
Changes to this policy
The date at the top identifies this version. Material changes to collection, advertising or other data practices require an updated notice and any consent or choice required by applicable law before the new practice begins. Merely visiting this page does not authorize a future new use of your information.
