Drying and mold

Can an ozone machine solve a musty smell after water damage?

Do not use ozone as a substitute for finding the damp material or odor source. EPA says ozone at concentrations meeting public-health standards is not effective at removing mold and many odor-causing contaminants, while higher concentrations can harm lungs and damage some materials. A changed smell does not prove successful remediation. Ask the contractor to investigate remaining moisture and contamination and explain the cleanup plan. Do not run an ozone generator in occupied space or rely on smell to decide when reentry is safe.
