Drying and mold

Should I leave windows open while dehumidifiers are drying the house?

It depends on outside conditions and the drying plan. EPA notes that warm, very humid outdoor air can slow drying; in those conditions, closing exterior openings and using drying equipment may help. Ask the technician whether the setup is intended to be open or closed, which doors or windows should remain in that position and why. Do not change an established containment or drying setup without checking. Ventilation for cleanup and moisture removal are related but not identical needs.
